She holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree, and brings over 30 years of experience in public education, working with both adolescents and adults. Throughout her career, Amie has supported students with a wide range of learning needs, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), as well as mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression.
A dedicated Pilates enthusiast, Amie has completed over 600 classes and received instructor training through Riser Fitness and Club Pilates. She loves Pilates for its numerous benefits, including improved core strength, flexibility, posture, muscle tone, and overall body awareness. She appreciates that Pilates is a low-impact form of movement suitable for all fitness levels, supporting injury prevention, stress reduction, and increased energy.
Outside of work, Amie enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her French bulldog, Hercules. A Southern California native, she loves riding her bike along the beach and soaking in the warmth of the sun.
Looking ahead, Amie plans to pursue a second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a focus on anxiety and depression.
