Shanene is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor with over five years of experience at D’Amore Mental Health. Her path into the field began in special education, where she developed a deep appreciation for meeting people where they are and understanding the unique challenges each individual carries. Licensed for the past two years, Shanene continues to grow both as a clinician and a supervisor.
Throughout her work in residential, PHP, and IOP settings, Shanene has supported individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, OCD, and major life transitions. She integrates evidence-based approaches—including ACT, CBT, DBT, ERP, and EMDR—while remaining deeply attentive to the person behind the symptoms. Her style is both structured and compassionate, creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and gently encouraged toward meaningful change.
As a clinical supervisor, Shanene values connection, collaboration, and authenticity. She is committed to helping clinicians find their voice and build confidence in their work, while maintaining a strong foundation of ethical, thoughtful care. She approaches supervision with the same presence she brings to therapy: grounded, supportive, and fully engaged.
Shanene believes that healing happens through connection, honesty, and a willingness to stay present in the process. She is dedicated to fostering an environment where both clients and clinicians feel seen, supported, and empowered in their growth. At the heart of her work is the belief that people do not need to be fixed—they need to be understood, supported, and given the space to grow.
